Liberty's is a country music duo composed of two people, Alex and Evans Cristi. They started their musical career in Spain (EUROPE) in the middle of 1996.Their Texan style has a mixture of fresh Nashville sounds from which it can be heard the influences of famous classic country stars such as, The Carter Family, Margo Smith, Johnny Cash and the powerful new traditional sounds of Alan Jackson or George Strait , as well as the deep influence from female vocalists such as Reba McEntire and Patsy Cline.

Alex was born in Valladolid, but soon his family moved to Valencia. There he played in several Rock and Roll bands, and maybe that explains why his Country is always a little rock-oriented. He discovered Country music through the great story tellers Kris Kristofferson, Steve Earle, Willie Nelson, etc. Through the Outlaws he discovered such a stars like Emmylou Harris, and some new like Pam Tillis, Highway 101,

and he's met some great Country stars from Marty Stuart to Flaco Jimenez or Johnny Allan, Doug Kershaw, Charlie McCoy, Sleepy LaBeef, and more, taking their advices and learning from theirexperience, that's what makes Alex seem an experienced artist despite his young age. Some years ago he met Evans Cristi.
Evans Cristi ,when she was a young girl, she used to sing throug the windows in her house, so the neighbours came out to listen to her, they were her early audience. As a girl she listened to the songs on the radio and what she liked the most was singin' them in her own way, that's the way she killed time (it's sure it still is). Her love to Country music came from a tape her sister sent to her from the States, it featured For My Broken Heart, by Reba McEntire, and she got really impressed by the feeling and power of Reba's voice. That's the way she started loving Country music, the rest's gonna be history.

      These influences define Liberty'S without taking anything away from their personal acoustic style, preserving the original country sounds ,eventhough they are so far away.In their shows you will find themes such as " Hello Stranger " from The Carter Family, or " Poor Boy " from Steve Earle,which they have adapted to their own country style, or their own recent and original compositions such as " There's an empty chair", "It's a game of love" or "Yodel ¼".

Their voice mixture is a very important part of their music, which is complemented by instruments such as acoustic guitars, acoustic bass,harmonicas, and percussion sounds. Their first show apperance occurred in the 1st.Country Music Festival in La Eliana,Valencia, together with other known country music bands from Spain.Later on, they played in several pubs in Spain such as Opera, Camelot, Black Note Club,Valencia Swing ,John Wayne's,Barrio Cinco,Milenio,El Paso Pub,and american restaurants such as Ribs, Chicago's ,Tony Roma's as well as BBQ's and commercial shows in the FNAC in Valencia where they made the opening ceremony of the 1st Big Harley Rodeo Festival which they played in, few days later.

In the summer of '98 they appeared again in the 2nd. Country Music Festival with Phil Edwards,and later,in the summer of '99 with Gail Davies at the 4th.Country Music Festival in Platja D'aro in Girona.

      The special way of bringing their music to the public, a happy,communicative, intimate, and participative fashion, makes this duo unusual, therefore capturing the atention of the Communication World,such as Radio Nacional de España(RNE),Cadena 100,Radio Turia,Canal 9 TV in which they have had several interviews.   

      Their style is opened to all kinds of Country feelings and more,and because of their participation with other bands they have met at other festivals in Spain and Europe, they personally know great artists such as Marty Stuart, Jo El Sonnier, Flaco Jimenez, Narvel Felts, Cissie Lynn,Doug Kershaw and Trisha Yearwood, not to mention others, which has kept their drive alive in order to achieve their immediate professional expectations, like the recording of their newest cd.
